For three decades, SLAM Magazine has served as one of the leading voices of basketball culture. To mark its 30th anniversary, SLAM has partnered with multiple footwear brands to create celebratory colorways on signature basketball models. So far, we’ve seen SLAM link-up with Sabrina Ionescu on her Nike Sabrina 2 and Allen Iverson on his Reebok Question Low. Now, Steph Curry’s label with Under Armour, Curry Brand, has crafted a pack of sneakers, including the Under Armour Curry 12 and Spawn Flotro, to commemorate the 30th birthday of the publication.
Drawing inspiration from Stephen Curry’s first SLAM cover from Issue #173 in December 2013, this collaboration celebrates both the magazine’s legacy and Curry’s incredible impact on the sport. The Curry 12 and Spawn Flotro incorporate an all-over print showcasing Curry’s various SLAM covers over the years. Honoring the magazine's influence on basketball culture, the design features torn details, symbolizing the tradition of fans ripping SLAM pages to decorate their walls.
The Spawn Flotro highlights the custom cover print across its royal blue upper, while the Curry 12 incorporates the print prominently along the TPU insert within the UA Flow foam midsole. Additional details include a woven SLAM label tag on the heel and individualized numbering, as only 30 pairs of each model were produced for friends and family.
As mentioned above, the SLAM x Under Armour Curry Brand Pack will be available exclusively to friends and family of SLAM and Steph Curry.
