The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine Album Comes to Life on Two Crocs Classic Clogs
PublishedCrocs has proven to be one of the best footwear partners with which to collaborate. Everyone and anyone has worked with the Colorado-based clog makers. Coming on the heels of images of a new Dragon Ball Z collaboration, Crocs is taking a psychedelic trip to an underwater world with one of the most famous bands of all time, The Beatles.
In 1966, on their album Revolver, The Beatles released a song titled Yellow Submarine that eventually inspired an animated film of the same name and the band’s tenth studio album. In the movie, the four members, John, Paul, George, and Ringo, help Pepperland recover from an attack by the Blue Meanies, an army full of people who dislike any music. Bringing portions of this film to life, Crocs recreates The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine in Classic Clog form by adding a graphic print and attachments like a propeller, periscope, and Jibbitz depicting the submarine itself.
On the sidewall of the Yellow Submarine Croc, you can see four portholes, each showcasing one of the four members of The Beatles in animated form. Moving on to the second pair, a graphic print depicting Pepperland, with its trippy visuals and psychedelic-influenced art style, is found on the base layer. In contrast, Jibbitz charms depict characters and references to the film itself. This includes the Blue Meanies, The Beatles, and the Yellow Submarine.
Both pairs in The Beatles x Crocs Classic Clog Yellow Submarine Collection will release January 28, 2025, through Crocs and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $70. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
