It seems New Balance has found new life after signing Teddy Santis as its Creative Director last year. Collabs, new silhouettes, and new signees are definitely boosting the brand's hype. Now, the Boston-based brand has announced that alongside recent signee Jack Harlow, Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls will be a New Balance athlete.
After leaving adidas, Zach was testing the waters, wearing multiple brands while searching for one that fit his values both on and off the court. As said by LaVine, “New Balance is a brand that’s investing in me not just as a player but as an individual. I wanted to partner with a company that is equally passionate about supporting my interests beyond the court…” This signing continues the brand's venture back into the basketball world, already having Kawahii Leonard on the roster, as well as bringing back the archival New Balance BB550 to their lineup of offerings.
With the announcement being so fresh, we currently don’t have any information on whether the Bulls star shooting guard will get his own signature silhouette with New Balance. In the meantime, expect to see some highlight plays in Chicago to feature New Balance footwear.
