This upcoming release has generated buzz, especially since Edwards sported the pair during the Timberwolves Media Day in October.
The adidas AE 1 New Wave is a fusion of performance and fashion designed to cater to Edwards' dynamic play style. The sneaker showcases a robust TPU reinforcement on the profile, providing structural support and durability. Beneath this lies the Primegreen knit, part of adidas' commitment to sustainability, offering breathability and comfort. The sneaker's design is complemented by a striking carbon fiber heel panel, adding a high-tech flair.
The color scheme of the AE 1 New Wave is a tasteful blend of arctic fusion, core black, and cloud white. The TPU elements and toe box are adorned in arctic fusion, while black dominates the tongue, knit upper, and heel area. White accents add a clean finish, including adidas branding on the heel, Anthony's logo on the tongue, and the lace set. The shoe is grounded by an arctic fusion-colored rubber midsole, housing the innovative Jet Boost cushioning, and is matched with a tonal rubber outsole for optimal traction.
The adidas AE 1 New Wave originally released January 25, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. The pair will be restocking via adidas on February 21, 2024. Available in men’s and GS sizes, the retail price is set at $120 and $100, respectively.
