In 2018, Jordan Brand released a “Homage To Home” edition of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. This iteration sported a split design on the upper, combining the classic “Bred” with the “Chicago” edition. While some people couldn’t get on board with the design, the sneaker received decent fanfare, selling out on its release date. With a black/white version already on the way, another Air Jordan 1 Mid “Split” is dropping for the holidays.
Made for the ladies, this women’s exclusive of the Air Jordan 1 Mid comes in beach, cherrywood red, and sail. Cherrywood, infamous for being featured on the Air Jordan XVI+ originally released in 2001 is set for a big comeback, getting featured on numerous silhouettes from Jordan Brand well into 2023. Featuring an all-leather upper, the sneaker is split between beach tan and cherrywood red throughout, giving off a patchwork-like design. A sail colored midsole and cherrywood outsole finish things off for this pair.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid SE Split Beach Cherrywood W is set to release October 28th, 2022. It will drop at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and at select retailers worldwide, both in-store and online. Coming in women’s sizing, retail is set at $135.
