Jordan Brand continues to honor Michael Jordan's legacy with its diverse range of Air Jordan 12 makeovers. The Air Jordan 12, famously worn by MJ during his fifth championship win in 1997, holds a special place in sneaker history. While fans might have hoped for a re-release of the classic Flu Game colorway in Spring 2025, Jordan Brand is introducing a fresh take with the Air Jordan 12 Retro Heritage Twist Black Red.
The Air Jordan 12 Retro Heritage Twist Black Red reimagines the classic silhouette under the Bloodline theme with modern touches, borrowing the colorblocking from the Concord AJ 12. The upper features a combination of nubuck and faux reptile leather, primarily in a sleek black hue. Quilted nubuck dominates the sneaker's profile, complemented by a black faux reptile leather mudguard and a matching black sole unit. Red accents add a vibrant contrast, appearing on the Jumpman and text on the tongue, the pull tab, and the metallic eyestays. Additional red details can be found on the Jumpman-branded tab on the midfoot and the Jumpman logo on the black outsole, creating a striking yet sophisticated look.
The Air Jordan 12 Retro Heritage Twist Black Red was originally set to release in March 2025. However, the shoe has been dropped from the Spring 2025 lineup with no makeup date announced. If it is released in the future, it will be available through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200. Grade School (GS) sizes will retail for $150, Preschool (PS) sizes for $90, and Toddler (TD) sizes for $75.
