No child wants to hear the dreadful phrase “It’s cleanup time.” For them, living in a room where toys and clothes are sprawled about is ok. It seems Jordan Brand wants to call back to these times we once lived in (or currently are if you’ve got a child of your own) with the upcoming kid's exclusive Air Jordan 4 “Messy Room.”
Taking on a split design, the sneaker is covered in shades of red, white, and blue with an accenting hit of orange appearing on the uppermost eyestay. Though the majority of the upper comes in a blue suede, hits of patent leather and textile land on the blue mudguard and white collar respectively. More white hits make their way to the netting found on the tongue and midfoot, though blue still makes an appearance near both thanks to the tonal cotton laces. Atop the tongue, the classic AJ 4 Flight tongue tag sits atop a cream-colored textile. The white heel tab on the rear hosts a blue Jumpman logo, though the sockliner just above this comes in a deep red shade. Mismatching insoles complete the top half of the sneaker while the AJ 4 midsole with an exposed Air unit in the heel gets covered in white. Rounding out the look is a red and white rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro Messy Room GS is slated to release in January 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store.
