A$AP Nast Lands A Reebok Zig Kinetica 2.5 Collaboration

From Run-DMC to Nelly, hip-hop and R&B have played a major role in the popularity of footwear. With that in mind, it was only natural for brands to realize that giving artists their own collaborations would help promote their products even further. It seems like everyone in the rap game has some form of sneaker deal, and A$AP Nast of the A$AP Mob is no exception. While not the most popular member of the NYC-based collective in terms of music, his fashion taste has landed him a deal with Reebok. For their latest link-up, Nast adds a shroud to the Reebok Zig Kinetica 2.5.

Coming in an outdoor-ready color scheme of black and brown, the sneaker continues to ooze this aesthetic due to the included shroud that covers the rear of the model. With this mesh and nylon shroud removed, you get a full look at the black leather overlays that come in a wavy and organic-like fashion. Below this, a brown sandwich mesh is covered in various fused overlays while the eyestays come in black patent leather. Running up the black tongue is a matching set of laces, stopping below a Reebok-branded neoprene patch that gets an accenting wine-red makeover. Underfoot, a two-tone brown foam midsole gets paired with a black trail-ready Vibram rubber outsole.

The A$AP Nast x Reebok Zig Kinetica 2.5 is set to release on October 21st, 2022 through select retailers like SVD while a wider launch through Reebok and other retailers is slated for later in December. Retailing for $180, the pair will be offered in men’s sizing.
