After exiting the US market, atmos has been on a collaborative spree, landing projects with various footwear brands across the globe. The brand’s founder, Hirofumi Kojima, often takes to Instagram to tease us with what he and the team have been cooking up, as he did with the adidas Adizero Aruku and Samba Tuxedo. Kojima has showcased the latest Salomon collaboration, tackling the XT-6 Gore-Tex.
Dubbed Concrete Jungle, the pair takes inspiration from the asphalt and concrete of the city streets, with the upper coming with a hexagonal honeycomb pattern on its canvas base. A gradient pattern transitions from a light grey to white as you move back from the toe to the heel, while a fused TPU film overlay lines the upper and comes with grey and black splatter paint details. Silver hues contrast along the midfoot panels and via the Salomon text on the lateral heel, while black shades take over the sockliner, tongue, and speed lace set. Underfoot sits a grey and white foam midsole paired with a black rubber outsole.
The atmos x Salomon XT-6 Gore-Tex Concrete Jungle releases in 2024, exclusively via atmos Tokyo online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
