Korean outdoor brand Climb As You Love (CAYL) continues to expand its collaboration portfolio with New Balance by introducing a new colorway of the 1906R. Known for creating rugged, adventure-ready gear, CAYL’s partnership with New Balance last year included the Fresh Foam X More Trail v3 and the 610. Following the success of those releases, CAYL has turned its focus to the increasingly popular 1906R silhouette, delivering a vibrant yellow rendition perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and sneaker collectors alike. Alongside this pair, there was a blue pair previewed earlier this year.
The CAYL x New Balance 1906R Yellow features a lightweight ripstop nylon upper in a tonal yellow hue, designed to withstand the elements. The triangular-shaped overlays traditionally seen in leather or suede have been swapped out for fused TPU film, adding durability without sacrificing weight. Black accents run through the speed lacing system, tongue tag, N logo, and heel pull tab, creating a sharp contrast against the bright yellow. CAYL branding is found on the tongue, lateral heel, and insole, reinforcing the collaborative nature of the release. The sneaker is completed with an earthy foam midsole for cushioned comfort and a black rubber outsole built to handle rugged terrains.
The CAYL x New Balance 1906R Yellow will release on August 23, 2024, via CAYL, New Balance, and select retailers online and in-store. The retail price is set at $170 in men's sizing.
