CLOT and adidas continue their collaborative roll-out with another take on the classic Gazelle. After iterations of the Superstar, Stan Smith, and multiple Gazelles prior, the new design features a more traditional style that is still clearly identifiable by the CLOT characteristics.
This partnership, led by CLOT co-founder Edison Chen, has brought a fresh cultural perspective to The Brand With The Three Stripes, reflecting CLOT's mission to bridge Eastern and Western aesthetics. One of the most notable aspects of the CLOT x adidas collaboration is its emphasis on storytelling and cultural exchange. Each piece in the collection integrates symbols, colors, and textures that pay homage to traditional Chinese elements, aligning with both brands' reputation for cultural authenticity while maintaining the core DNA of timeless classics. The hope is that new classics are created, and the products offered so far have received great reception.
While named the Gazelle OG, this design has more in common with the Gazelle Indoor silhouette, with the sweeping T-toebox and the traditional rubber sole unit. Collegiate Navy adorns one pair, with a clean-looking aesthetic of Off White enveloping the other. The uppers of both pairs feature a mixture of suedes, synthetics, and leathers, and both carry beaded Three Stripe branding along the midfoot, a signature CLOT design touch with the model.
Debossed gold foil denotes the Gazelle moniker running parallel to the beaded stripes. At the rear, visible jagged stitching completes a triple-stitched construction of the heel tabs, which also feature Trefoil branding. The lace sets of each pair have threaded piping that pays testament to the attention shown to every detail. Underfoot, a lighter gum hue is used for the rubber sole on the Collegiate Navy pair, compared to the much darker gum sole seen on the Off White pair.
The CLOT x adidas Gazelle OG Pack is set to release on November 18, 2024, through Juice Store online and on the 20th at physical Juice Store locations. A launch via adidas will follow on November 22. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $160. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
