Salomon has had one of the most compelling character arcs that the sneaker world has ever seen. Originally a brand made for hikers and explorers, the French sportswear company has somehow made its way to the very top of the fashion food chain, taking over the world's biggest runways and even making its way to Rihanna's feet during her legendary Super Bowl halftime performance. Just when you thought things were about to slow down, we're now taking our very first look at the COSTS x Children Of The Discordance x Salomon XT-6 ADV "Black." A rare three-way collaboration between Sky Chen and Hideaki Shikama, here's everything that we know so far.
Taking on the XT-6 silhouette, which is currently Salomon's most popular pair to date, the mesh base of this sneaker features a blurry paisley pattern and is overlaid by synthetic panels throughout. "LAB" around the toe area nods to Salomon's experimental line, while the Épagny Metz-Tessy-based brand's logo feature towards the back. Underfoot, the EnergyCell midsole has been infused with ACS technology for unbeatable stability and dampening, and of course, you can't talk about this coveted collab without mentioning the "Discordance Exploration" text on the tongue, finalizing the design.
If you want the COSTS x Children Of The Discordance x Salomon XT-6 ADV Black in your collection, it's set to release on February 14th, 2023 in men's sizes. Expected to drop at COSTS, Children Of The Discordance, Salomon, and select stockists online and in-store, a retail price has yet to be officially confirmed.
