This year, Disney and adidas have reunited to release a vast collection that pays homage to some of its classics. From Aladdin to The Lion King, the Walt Disney brand is now turning to one of its newer animation features for inspiration with the Disney x adidas Stan Smith "The Princess and the Frog." Set in the roaring twenties in New Orleans, this movie is a new take on the German folk tale "The Frog Prince" which was written in the early 1800s.
Hopping in in a cloud white leather construction, the first thing that you'll notice about this Stan Smith is the green tongue that's been reworked to look like a frog's head. Speaking of which, while Stan's iconic portrait decorates the right tongue, the left one is reserved for a illustration of the story's main protagonist, Tiana. She also makes an appearance in the insoles too, complete with her lavish green dress that plays a major role in the animated feature.
The Disney x adidas Stan Smith The Princess and the Frog is scheduled to release in 2022. You'll be able to grab a pair at adidas and select online and in-store retailers worldwide.
