The Fear of God Athletics line at adidas remains highly anticipated. News of the designer jumping ship from Nike to The Three Stripes first broke in December 2020, and we still only a China-exclusive hoodie, a runway show, and leaked images of sneakers to show for it. As we still wait for FOG Athletics to drop, two new sneaker silhouettes have emerged.
The latest Fear of God Athletics x adidas samples are high-top and low-top iterations of a basketball sneaker. They carry a vintage aesthetic in line with retro adidas sneakers with an all-leather upper, perforated toebox, and Three Stripes branding on the midfoot. The low-top variant features a creamy hue, contrasted by black accents on the vamp and metallic gold Fear of God text atop the stripes. adidas Basketball's mark is then displayed in black atop the tongue. The high-top version shares a similar color scheme but opts for a stark white finish. Black accents are again used for contrast, this time on the vamp and collar. Anchoring the design are the adidas-branded midsole and outsole.
The Fear of God Athletics x adidas collection will release this year through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is yet to be announced.
