New Balance Finally Delivers Francisco Lindor's Lindor 2
PublishedNew Balance continues its expansion into baseball by introducing Francisco Lindor’s second signature sneaker. Recently, the brand signed superstar Shohei Ohtani and unveiled a cleated version of the iconic 574. Following the successful release of the New Balance Lindor 1 in 2017, its first signature baseball cleat, New Balance is ready to launch the New Balance Lindor 2. It arrives six years after the Lindor 1, with both cleated and non-cleated versions.
The Lindor 2 embodies top-tier performance and style. The shoe employs the same construction across both the cleated and non-cleated versions, highlighting its dual-strap lockdown system and ripstop nylon upper. A standout feature is the sliding closure system that secures your foot faster than traditional laces — a game-changer for any athlete.
For cushioning, the sneaker utilizes New Balance's FuelCell and ABZORB technology in the heel and forefoot for unparalleled comfort. Its debut "Summer Storm" colorway features an all-over greyscale upper with accents of aqua blue popping against the subdued backdrop. These colorful hits are found on the tongue's branding details and the "N" logo. Underfoot, the sole unit presents a tasteful cream shade. The cleated pair stands out with a gradient pattern on the outsole, punctuated by metallic silver spikes.
“I’m so excited to show off the Lindor 2 throughout the season, starting with the ‘Summer Storm’ colorway," Lindor said in a press release. "Having an opportunity to work with New Balance on this update allows me to continue to explore my love of design. Combining the latest New Balance technology with even fresher designs, you don’t need to choose between performance and style."
The New Balance Lindor 2 Summer Storm will release in July through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. The retail price is set at $150 for the cleated version and $110 for the non-cleated version.
