Today, it’s common to see music stars get their own sneakers. However, New Balance is not the first brand you may think of, but that has been the case with Jaden Smith, who has had the pleasure of designing two sneakers with the Boston-based brand. While it’s essentially confirmed through the lack of releases of the Vision Racer that this model is in the archives, the MSFTSrep x New Balance 0.01 has more up its sleeve. The sneaker is soon launching in a Washed Blue colorway alongside a White rendition.
A full-leather construction is present on this pair, reverting to the construction found on the original White Black colorway, but with this rendition taking on tonal baby blue hues throughout. This look is present along the mudguard, toebox, midfoot panel, and heel, while the vamp and collar come in a contrasting blue hue. Tonal blue shades continue onto the lace set, while the NB logo on the lateral midfoot and the MSFTSrep logo on the medial side take on a white finish. New Balance branding continues on the tongue tag and heel tab, with the insole splitting details for MSFTSrep and New Balance. Underfoot sits a rubber midsole that seems to be inspired by the New Balance 550, though this model features cut-outs near the toe and midfoot. Finishing the design is the baby blue-esque rubber outsole.
The MSFTSrep x New Balance 0.01 Washed Blue will release in November 2024 through New Balance, MSFTSrep, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
