New Balance’s push for the 1906R silhouette has been chugging along swimingly. Alongside various GR colorways, we’ve seen the Boston-based brand include the model in its “Protection Pack” series and allow Teddy Santis’ Aime Leon Dore to bring its elevated design language to a collaborative colorway. Now, a new 'Grey Tan' variant has appeared and features a significant switch in the usual 1906R build.
Keeping a muted color palette and a blend of materials, the shoe boasts a canvas underlay and triangular-shaped suede overlays in varying shades of grey. Contrasting these are the creamy laces and the iconic 'N' logo along the midfoot. Tan leather accents on the 'NB' tongue tag match the heel’s overlay that now comes covered in a single piece of leather instead of a TPU cage. Underfoot, the white midsole from the 860v2 model is present, ensuring a comfortable ride for wearers. A durable tan outsole rounds off the design.
The New Balance 1906R Grey Tan will release this year through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $155.
