2024 has been the year of the 1906R for New Balance, as the brand has pushed the silhouette to the forefront via collaborations and hit inline colorways. One of these inline variants was a polka dot-covered pack that was previously launched in a White Black, Black White, and Moonrock colorway during the early parts of the year and a more vibrant collection that was launched later in the fall. A new Rich Oak colorway of this polka dot-laden 1906R has emerged.
Tonal shades of rich oak dominate the sneaker while accenting pops of baby blue highlight the polka dot pattern scattered across the brown mesh base. Leather panels reinforce the upper around the mudguard, toebox, and midfoot panel, while a TPU heel counter continues the brown hues. Branding for New Balance is primarily found in baby blue, as seen via the 1906R logo on the lateral collar and the NB logos on the tongue tag. However, the N logo on the midfoot has a brown finish, matching the lace set nearby. Underfoot sits the 1906R’s foam midsole in brown, which is derived from the 860v2, paired with a tonal rubber outsole.
