Throughout 2024, New Balance has highlighted the 1906R model through collaborations, new iterations, and exclusive releases. Continuing with the latter of the three, New Balance has given French-based sneaker retailer Courir an exclusive pink colorway of the New Balance 1906R, perfectly timed with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
While not explicitly connected to the cause, the pair appears during October and Courir’s Pink Spirit campaign, which will see the retailer donate 100% of the profits from every pink shoelace purchased to the Ruban Rose Association. The shoes are designed by Anna Wilson from New Balance, who’s worked on plenty of other exclusive releases, such as the size? exclusive 860v2, Foot Patrol 1906R, and other JD Sports-affiliated products.
As for the sneaker itself, the base layer comes with a wide-spaced mesh in a vibrant hot pink hue, starkly contrasting the metallic silver overlays on the mudguard, toebox, and midfoot panels. Laces come in a white hue that pops amongst the black lace loops, sockliner, and N logo on the midfoot. Further pink hues are found on the vamp and tongue tag, the latter coming with NB Running logos. Final details on the upper include the 1906R logo on the lateral heel and the silver TPU heel counter. This upper sits above a white and pink foam midsole paired with a black rubber outsole.
The Courir-exclusive New Balance 1906R Rose Pink is currently available to purchase through the French retailer both online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at €160, totaling roughly $173 USD.
