New Balance's evolution in the sneaker world continues with the introduction of the 991v2, an updated version of the classic 991 model. The 99X series has always been synonymous with quality and innovation; the 991v2 is no exception. Following the buzz created by the collaborations with Stone Island and Patta and the success of the general release Grey colorway, New Balance is now set to release a new iteration of the 991v2 in a timeless Navy color.
The New Balance 991v2 Made in UK Navy embodies the essence of premium craftsmanship that the Made in UK series is renowned for. The sneaker's upper is a harmonious blend of pigskin suede, premium nubuck, and breathable mesh, offering both luxury and comfort. It dons tonal navy shades across the mudguard, midfoot, and heel, with the mesh base integrating seamlessly into the design.
Contrasting silver and grey accents adorn the toebox overlays, the iconic New Balance “N” logo, and the lace set, adding depth and visual interest. The lateral heel features distinctive “991” branding, while the v2 logo on the heel tab and tongue enhances the sneaker's identity. This logo is subtly accompanied by the prestigious “Made in England” branding, a mark of exceptional quality. Completing the design is a white and grey foam midsole equipped with FuelCell technology for unparalleled comfort, paired with a black and grey rubber outsole.
The New Balance 991v2 Made in UK Navy will release December 14, 2023, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $250.
