As the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders has drawn new eyes to the athletic program. Not long after taking over the coaching role, it was announced that Sanders and Nike rekindled their relationship and that we would be getting retros of Deion’s iconic signature sneaker line with The Swoosh. So far, the DT Max ‘96 has been the silhouette of choice, as we’ve seen multiple colors hit shelves in 2024. For 2025, the original Air Diamond Turf is poised for a comeback, already confirmed to return in the Ravens colorways and a Must Be The Money rendition inspired by Sanders’ rap career. Sole Retriever can confirm that the Emerald colorway will be retroed in Fall 2025.
Initially released in 1994, the Emerald colorway has been retroed twice, once in 2010 and a second time in 2017. Unlike the first two retro releases, this 2025 release will come more true to the original 1994 version with original tongue graphics and branding details. As for the construction of the model, we see white leather utilized on the profile’s leather overlay and the panel that hosts the lockdown strap. Black nubuck comes placed on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel tab, the latter containing hits of emerald blue on the Nike Air logo and the nylon lace loop. Further, emerald shades are found on the tongue tag and the Swoosh logo along the lockdown strap. Underfoot sits a black foam midsole with Nike Air branding details and a black and emerald rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Diamond Turf Emerald will release in Fall 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $150.
