The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 is one of the all-time most popular cross-training sneakers. It transcended the baseball fields to the streets, becoming a cultural phenomenon. Backed by the Kid, Ken Griffey Jr., the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 has dropped in memorable colorways such as Freshwater, Royal Volt, Emerald, and Cincinnati Reds. Next up for Jr.'s first signature sneaker is an all-new Miami Hurricanes-themed colorway exclusively for kids.
The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Miami Hurricanes comes in fir, bright mandarin, white, and vapor green. It sports a traditional leather and nubuck upper construction, with white underlays and dark green overlays. Splashes of bright mandarin orange are on the Nike Swoosh on the toe and the back heel, Max Air cushioning throughout the midsole, and the solid rubber outsole. Vapor Green accents the embroidery around the orange Swooshes, the lace loops, the tongue pull, and the number 24 on the velcro strap fastener. A classic white midsole with fir green hits above the visible Max Air completes the look.
The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Miami Hurricanes GS will release on February 25, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available exclusively in gradeschool sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
