For decades, Nike has been a leader in the performance basketball space with the Greater Than series, encompassing the GT Hustle, GT Cut, and GT Jump models, being the latest innovations. These silhouettes have been subject to various makeovers, notably with PEs crafted for NBA players like Victor Wembanyama getting their versions. Now, ahead of the Nike Hoop Summit, a yearly international basketball all-star game that features junior players from Team USA and other international squads to demonstrate their talent, Team USA's Junior National Team has shown two exclusive colorways of the GT Cut 3 and GT Hustle 2 that honors Team USA's 50th Anniversary.
The GT Cut 3 and GT Hustle 2 have been designed to mirror the prestige of this 50th Anniversary. Both sneakers feature a pristine white base, complemented by navy and gold accents that pay homage to the traditional colors of USA Basketball. The design incorporates navy hues across the Swoosh, tongue, and toe box, while luxurious gold accents adorn the lining and intricate details of the shoes.
Highlighting the celebration, the GT Hustle 2 prominently uses the USA 50th Anniversary logo on the tongue, and the GT Cut 3 displays it on the lateral heel. Both models maintain their original high-performance structure, geared towards providing top-tier support, durability, and comfort for intense basketball action. The midsoles are artfully speckled with navy and set against a white and gold backdrop, coordinating beautifully with icy translucent outsoles that round out the design.
Unfortunately for the public, we won’t have a shot at securing these exclusive sneakers as the pairs were crafted specifically for the players of the Nike Hoop Summit.
