Ja Morant will enter the 2024-2025 NBA with much to prove. Coming off season-ending shoulder surgery in January, the Grizzlies guard hopes to get back to form and lead his team into a deep playoff run. During his time recovering, his partners at Nike did not slow down in giving us new colorways of his signature performance basketball sneaker, the Nike Ja 1, and when he comes back, he’ll be debuting the Ja 2 on the court. On top of the multiple colorways of this new sneaker seen thus far, including the Stargazer, Nightmare, and X-Mas Tree Topper, a new Night Vision colorway has appeared.
Similar to the Stargazer pair in terms of construction, the upper features a mesh toebox with suede panels around the mudguard and lower eyestay. The medial side comes covered in an engineered textile material with a white Swoosh contrasting the black hues nearby. However, the lateral side comes with a wavy synthetic material in black and a large Swoosh in white that comes outlined in a volt hue. Back on the heel, this quilted panel comes in a suede finish with 12:AM branding split between volt and white on the left and right shoe, respectively. Underfoot sits a black and grey foam midsole with Zoom Air units and a black and grey rubber outsole.
The Nike Ja 2 Night Vision will release on November 1, 2024, via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
