LeBron James' smart investments over the course of his 20 years in the spotlight have netted him considerable profit with one of his most profitable deals being with the Fenway Sports Group who are part owners of sports franchises like Liverpool F.C., the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Boston Red Sox. In the past, the former of the three organizations was partially owned by James which gave way for the King to create Liverpool-inspired colorways on his signature silhouettes with Nike. Now, The Reds color scheme is taking over James’ latest sneaker with The Swoosh, the Nike LeBron 20.
Straying from its usual engineered mesh construction, the silhouette comes covered in short-haired suede across the upper while taking on an (almost) monochromatic shade of university red. This color continues onto the suede vamp and mesh tongue while the red laces come accented by a metallic “XX” lace dubrae and a black stitch detail on the vamp and top of the tongue respectively. Along the lateral midfoot you’ll find double Swoosh action with the top logo taking on a red snakeskin finish while the black Swoosh below features a similar snakeskin design alongside overstitching details. Underfoot sits a red foam midsole containing Cushlon and Zoom Air cushioning, while the black rubber outsole below completes the design.
The Nike LeBron 20 Liverpool F.C. is set to release on February 9th, 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
