LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers have secured a spot in the playoffs following their victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the controversial NBA Play-In. If Bron and Co couldn’t reach the postseason, that might have been the last time we saw him take the court in his latest signature sneaker, the Nike LeBron 20. Since its release in 2022, the model has been released in a series of colorways, with a handful exclusively crafted for the next generation of athletes, in other words, for kids. Adding to this list, Nike is set to release the LeBron 20 “Summer Vibes,” exclusively in grade school and pre-school sizing.
Taking on a Lakers-friendly mixture of celestial gold and purple across its upper, we see the engineered mesh placed throughout. Both shades are intertwined into its design. Solid hits of gold land on the leather eyestays, tongue, sockliner, and heel, while purple laces contrast this regal hue. More golden hits are visible on the “XX” branded lace dubrae and via the over-stitching details on the purple Swoosh. On the lateral side, another Swoosh rests above this purple leather logo, featuring an iridescent finish. LeBron branding on the heel helps round out the upper, while a blue and gold foam midsole paired with a purple rubber outsole completes the look.
The Nike LeBron 20 Summer Vibes GS will release on May 8, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming exclusively in grade school and pre-school sizing, the retail price is set at $160 (GS) and $95 (PS).
