As the Olympic games in Paris approach this summer, Nike is ramping up its roster with a series of Olympic-themed sneakers. Celebrating the inclusion of skateboarding as an official Olympic sport, Nike SB has crafted an SB Dunk Low for the games, joining the already-revealed Nike SB Zoom Blazer Mid. On top of Nike SB's work for the Olympics, various silhouettes will be part of the event, including the Jordan 6, Air More Uptempo, Kobe 4 Protro, Air Max 1, and Nike Calm Slide.
The design of the Nike SB Dunk Low Olympic is a nod to skateboarding's adventurous spirit, incorporating safari prints similar to the 2020 Safari SB Dunk, which was inspired by the iconic atmos x Nike Air Max 1 collaboration. The sneaker's overlays, including the mudguard, lower eyestay, and heel, are adorned with a striking safari print. Phantom-shaded suede graces the toe and midfoot for a contrasted look. Black elements on the tongue, Swoosh, heel tab, and collar offer a bold aesthetic, complemented by monarch orange accents on the SB branding and sockliner. The design is completed with a white midsole featuring black stitching, harmoniously paired with a durable black rubber outsole.
The Nike SB Dunk Low Olympic will release on August 9, 2024, via the Nike SNKRS app with a wider drop through Nike SB-affiliated skate shops shortly after. Available in men's sizing, the sneaker will retail for $125.
