Innovation from The Swoosh is commonplace with the brand pushing the tech within their silhouettes forward, as seen with silhouettes such as the Nike ISPA Link or their Flyease technology present in the new Air Deldon 1. Now the Beaverton-based brand is experimenting with their beloved Flyknit technology by adding a triple-layered midsole combo to create the Nike Spark Flyknit, launching in "Burgundy Crush Racer Blue."
Utilizing Nike’s Flyknit material across the upper, shades of grey, burgundy crush, and volt green dress the upper. Various knit patterns take over throughout the upper with the midfoot section getting a translucent TPU material, so be careful on your sock choice when wearing these. Contrasting these green and grey hues are the burgundy crush laces that work up the muted volt tongue. Internally, it appears there is a second layer of Flyknit acting as the internal, sock-like bootie, getting streaks of the muted volt green and burgundy crush. Nike branding is minimal on the sneaker with the only visible hit being the two-tone black and volt green Swoosh along the toebox and black Swoosh on the midsole, though the insole borrows the volt green look for its “Nike Spark” text. Underfoot is Nike’s newest midsole innovation, a tri-layered firm foam, plastic plate, and soft foam that helps reduce flection in the forefoot, coming carved away to showcase the tech. Rounding everything off is a racer blue rubber outsole.
The Nike Spark Burgundy Crush Racer Blue is slated to release via Nike SNKRS and select retailers online and in-store on August 10th, 2022. Coming in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $185.
