In collaboration with NBA sensation Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nike introduces the latest Nike Zoom Freak 5 iteration, aptly named Alphabet. As the fifth installment in Giannis' signature series, the Zoom Freak 5 has become synonymous with performance and style, gracing both the professional courts and the neighborhood blacktops.
Since the Keep It A Buck colorway debut, the Zoom Freak 5 has consistently impressed sneaker enthusiasts with its innovative design and performance capabilities. Building on this success, Nike will release the Alphabet Pack, a sneaker that delves into Giannis' childhood memories in men's and GS-exclusive colorways. Nicknamed Alphabet Soup by his peers due to the complexity of his last name, this colorway pays homage to those formative years.
The shoe's exterior features a dark red mesh adorned with an intricate rectangular pattern. The outer panel boasts a Nike Swoosh with letters from Giannis' last name scrambled in peach and berry hues, creating a playful yet meaningful design. On the inner panel, a smaller berry-colored Swoosh subtly enhances the aesthetic. The shoe's upper is constructed from noble red leather, stitched with patterns reminiscent of previous Zoom Freak 5 releases. Leather eyelets and loops provide a secure fit for the laces, which will come in noble red and desert berry, offering wearers the option to mix and match laces.
The tongue proudly displays Giannis' initials in ice peach, crafted from perforated mesh. The insole features the Antetokounmpo family crest, while the back of the shoe showcases the Nike logo in the same peach-colored hue. The midsole adopts a guava ice color, complemented by a hidden desert berry Swoosh and Nike Zoom logo on the inner profile.
The Nike Zoom Freak 5 Alphabet will release November 11, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Priced at $140, it will be available in men's sizing. For all the latest updates on this release, raffles, and the sneaker world, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
