We have seen plenty of new renditions of the Zoom Vomero 5 hit shelves over the last year, and Nike has no plans to slow down. Previews of pairs for Spring 2025 have been all over the internet, from the Dark Smoke Grey to the Particle Beige Terra Blush. Adding to the release calendar for next year is a Black Metallic University Red.
On the base of this new Vomero 5, we see a mesh netting that takes on a light black finish, contrasted by the darker black hues used above. Smooth nubuck is present along the mudguard, eyestays, and midfoot overlays, while the toebox and heel overlays come in a hairy suede. TPU reinforcements along the midfoot and heel add stability and structure to the upper and are coated in a black hue.
Metallic Silver accents add contrast, appearing on the Swoosh, parts of the toe and heel, and the woven tongue label. While all mentioned panels stick to neutral shades, bursts of red are found on select details, including the nylon lace holder, Vomero 5 text along the tongue tag, and the foam midsole. Inside, the sole unit contains Cushlon foam and Zoom Air cushioning, primarily encased in a black foam and black rubber outsole.
The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Black Metallic University Red will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $160.
