Drake's NOCTA imprint hasn’t made as big of an impact as both Nike and Drake would have liked. However, Drake has taken a liking to digging into Nike’s archives to help create his silhouettes, as seen with the Hot Step Air Terra and the Zoom Flight 95-inspired Nike NOCTA Glide. With NOCTA and Nike reviving the obscure Nike Air Zoom Drive in White, a second NOCTA x Nike Air Zoom Drive has appeared in an inverted color scheme.
Elements from the original 1999 release of the Nike Air Zoom Drive are present with added NOCTA flair on this simple "Black White" rendition. Leather overlays with perforations appear on the lateral side and along the toe while ballistic mesh and ripstop nylon make up the rest of the upper. All of this comes in black while white TPU lands on the lateral side. More accenting details appear on the lace set, mini Swoosh, and NOCTA text on the pull tab. Rounding out the look is the black foam midsole with an exposed Air unit in the heel paired with a black and white rubber outsole featuring NOCTA's trident logo.
The NOCTA x Nike Air Zoom Drive SP Black White will release June 14, 2024, via Nike, NOCTA, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $165.
