LaMelo Ball has become the face of Puma’s basketball division. He is on the verge of launching his latest signature performance basketball sneaker, the Puma MB.04, and in the lead-up to the launch of this new model, Melo went across America to stop in various cities and give back to the community. He did so in multiple cities, including Miami, where he gave away pairs of the MB.04 LaFrance to the kids of Everglades High School. Dropping alongside this new basketball model is a new colorway of Melo’s lifestyle LaFrance model, dropping in a similar baby blue colorway dubbed 1 Of 1.
Retaining the chunky, Lanvin/Y2K skate shoe-inspired design, the sneaker comes with a canvas base layer and leather overlays across the upper. Circular cut-outs on the midfoot reveal the base layer and host the set of large flat laces in a tonal blue hue. LaFrance branding is placed on the vamp, tongue tag, and heel spoiler, while details for Melo are found via the 1 1 1 logo along the toe. More blue hues take over the sockliner and insole, finishing the upper. Below sits a chunky rubber midsole with tons of branding for Melo and LaFrance and a rubber outsole containing Puma and LaFrance branding.
The Puma LaFrance 1 Of 1 releases on the same day as the new MB.04, September 12, 2024, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
