Salomon has transitioned from a brand that the outdoor-focused individual was on the lookout for to becoming a fashion icon on the runways of Paris and on our social media feeds. Arguably its most popular model, the Salomon XT-6, is actually turning 10 years old in 2023 and the French-based label is celebrating this occasion with a special limited edition all-red colorway on the silhouette.
Coming dressed almost entirely in a single shade of red, the silhouette features its typical construction of engineered mesh and TPU across the upper. Even with this special pair boasting added details, like the reworked Salomon branding on the heel that comes individually numbered out of 804 pairs, we see the same technically focused design we’ve come to know and love. The Quicklace system allows for an easily adjustable fit while the EndoFit and SensiFit internal sleeves hug your foot in the right places and provide a precise fit. Going back to the color scheme, we see hits of white take over on the lacing system and on the aforementioned redesigned Salomon branding on the heel that calls back to the XT-6 prototyping process. Underfoot we see a two-tone white and red midsole paired with a durable red rubber outsole. Extra details, like the included socks and dust bag, add a special flair to this limited-edition celebratory colorway.
The Salomon XT-6 10th Anniversary is set to release on March 28th, 2023 through Salomon and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $220 though there will only be 804 pairs made available.
