The 2022-2023 NBA season is almost here, so get ready to see some wild kicks on the court in the next few months from the top stars like LeBron James and Steph Curry. While both players’ teams are located in California, the two also have something in common when it comes to their footwear deals, a lifetime contract with Nike and Under Armour respectively. Now just a few short weeks after Steph Curry inked his extension with the Baltimore-based sportswear brand, we’re getting first looks at a kid's exclusive colorway on his OG silhouette, the Under Armour Curry 1.
Coming to us in a “Tattoo” colorway, the shoe is aptly named as the leather upper comes covered in various tattoo-like drawings of butterflies, unicorns, and bears as well as text denoting the Steph Curry connection. These come in an assortment of colors while most of the sneaker remains colorless, though neon pink and green shades land on the sockliner and laces respectively. Under Armour branding gets placed in its typical locations, along the lateral side of the profile, while Curry logos and branding can be found on the insole, medial profile, and back on the heel. Underfoot, a grey and white midsole comes paired with a baby blue rubber outsole.
The Under Armour Curry 1 Tattoo GS is set to release on October 21st, 2022 through Under Armour and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in gradeschool, pre-school, and toddler sizing, the retail price for GS pairs is TBA while PS and TD pairs will be $80 and $70 respectively.
