You can't talk about October and not mention Halloween. Spooky Season gets bigger and better each year, with people going all out with their decorations and costumes. Alongside the holiday, October is also the host of another theme, Boktober. Boktober is a month-long celebration by Reebok, honoring its brand and heritage. For Boktober 2024, Reebok has teamed up with Universal Products & Experience to celebrate on another level. Halloween and Boktober collide, this time with a horror-themed collection that pays homage to some of the greatest monsters ever.
The Universal Monsters x Reebok Boktober Collection highlights five classic footwear styles, all sporting unique makeovers specific to a horror icon. "We're excited to bring back 'Boktober,' with this exciting collaboration with Universal Monsters, a franchise that has shaped horror and pop culture for decades," said Portia Blunt, SVP of Product at Reebok. "This collection celebrates both the iconic monsters and Reebok's unique designs, blending nostalgia, creativity, and Halloween spirit in a way that resonates with fans of all ages. We're proud to offer a collection that's sure to be a must-have for classic horror fans and sneaker enthusiasts alike."
The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Dracula, The Wolfman, Frankenstein, and The Bride of Frankenstein are immortalized once more, this time in the form of a sneaker. The first is The Creature from the Black Lagoon edition of the Reebok Instapump Fury 94 Mid. This pair commemorates two milestones: the 70th Anniversary of The Creature From The Black Lagoon and the 30th Anniversary of the Instapump Fury. Deep from the lagoon's depths, this pair sports a moss and algae printed upper with reptilian-textured overlays.
Up next is the Dracula edition of the Reebok BB 4000 II. The BB 4000 II has grown in popularity over the past few years. That makes it the perfect canvas for the most famous vampire of all time. The pair sports a blood-red upper made up of premium color-shifting leather. A custom badge on the tongue and translucent outsole further the theme. Third, The Wolfman edition of the Reebok Club C Bulc. Covered in brown hairy suede, a blood-stained textile liner, and distressed black laces, you don't have to wait for a full moon to unleash your inner beast.
The classic Reebok Twilight Zone Pump, now known as the Pump TZ, honors Mary Shelley's greatest novel, Frankenstein. The distressed upper, mimicking the numerous cadavers used to create the monster, is highlighted by glue stains and deco stitching. Distressed laces, classic Pump technology, neck bolts, and an aged sole will make you feel like, "It's alive!" The women's exclusive The Bride of Frankenstein x Reebok Club C Megacourt is rounding out the collection. This black-based sneaker draws inspiration from the monster's construction of old body parts, much like her counterpart. Premium leather and suede cover the upper, along with textile lining, two-tone distressed laces, deco stitching, and a solid rubber sole.
Each pair comes in special packaging that furthers the horror theme and cements this year's Boktober Collection as one of the best Halloween sneaker packs to date.
The Universal Monsters x Reebok Boktober Collection is set to release on October 11, 2024. They will be available at Reebok and select retailers online and in-store. The Instapump Fury 94 Mid ($220), Pump TZ ($180), BB 4000 II ($130), and Club C Bulc ($120) come in men's sizing while the Club C Megacourt ($120) are a women's exclusive.
