Nike’s connection to the University of Oregon cannot be understated as the institution is where founders Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman first met. Over 50 years later and the school is still receiving love from The Swoosh with various PE and ultra-exclusive sneakers crafted both for benefit of the school, through charity auctions, and for student-athletes/staff of the various sports teams. On top of the recent “Ducks Of A Feather” Air Huarache and a slew of Nike Basketball PEs, the University of Oregon has just received its very own Nike Dunk Low PE.
Unlike many PE sneakers for the school, the upper of this model is primarily covered in grey hues with tumbled leather and suede utilized throughout. Around the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay sits grey tumbled leather while the toebox, quarter panel, and collar come in a short-haired suede/nubuck. Black hits appear on the nylon tongue which contrasts the grey laces and bright green sockliner, though more hits of the Ducks’ colors can be spotted around the silhouette. On top of the overt nod with the rainbow-colored duck on the tongue tag and the “O” logo on the heel in white, we also see stitching details around the upper come in a volt green hue. On the insole, we see “Ducks Of A Feather” on the left pair and an “O” logo on the right. Finally, Tinker Hatfield’s signature lands on the reverse of the tongue tag, indicating he played a role in designing this colorway for his alma mater.
The Birds Of A Feather x Nike Dunk Low Oregon Ducks PE is set to release exclusively at ducksofafeather.xyz on April 10th, 2023.
