Bang Bang Niner Gang: Nike is Retroing Deion’s Air Diamond Turf 2 in 49ers Red and Gold

The San Francisco 49ers stormed into South Philadelphia last weekend and sent Eagles players and fans home sad and angry after some incredible stands from an injury-rattled defense and some trick plays from Purdy, CMC, and Juan Jennings. SF has another tough test ahead in Seattle on Saturday, but win or lose, Niners fans have fresh kicks to look forward to in the offseason.

As Nike continues to retro Deion Sanders’ Air Diamond Turf series, the latest colorway back from Prime Time’s heyday is the Air Diamond Turf 2 49ers. Combining the colors from Deion’s 1994 Niners jersey, the shoe features white leather on the toebox and side panels, black suede on the heel and lace panels, and red accents on the sockliner and branding. The side panel walls feature hits of gold hiding behind the white leather to complete the 49ers mix.

As Coach Prime continues to lead the University of Colorado football team while his son Shedeur steps into a budding NFL career, Nike is bringing a focus back to the Sanders family, with a recent social media post showing plenty of Diamond Turf colorways on the horizon, including four low-top PEs for Shedeur and an early look at the 49ers retro pair.
