Since its inception in 2015, A-COLD-WALL* has been synonymous with cutting-edge fashion, collaborating with industry giants like Nike and Converse to merge avant-garde aesthetics with classic sneaker forms. The Samuel Ross-led label is now venturing into the archives of Converse with its latest collaboration, breathing new life into the Converse Weapon, which is currently experiencing a revival.
This collaboration transforms the Converse Weapon with a monochromatic flint grey palette, utilizing a mix of premium suede and tumbled leather to craft the upper. The partnership's influence is immediately apparent through the revamped branding on the midfoot, where the classic Converse chevron and star logo are subtly embroidered. Meticulous stitching and a simplified lacing system along the tongue, topped with A-COLD-WALL* and Converse co-branding, underscores the ACW’s attention to detail and design innovation. Additional branding elements include an "ACW_CNVS" debossing on the medial side and distinctive branding near the sneaker's "Y" strap, complemented by a striking red sockliner and insole. The design is completed with a cohesive flint grey midsole and outsole, ensuring that the sneaker stands out as a testament to both brands' commitment to innovation.
The A-COLD-WALL* x Converse Weapon Flint Grey will release March 11, 2024, through A-COLD-WALL*, while Nike SNKRS, Converse, and select retailers will release the pair on March 14. Available in men’s sizing, the sneaker will retail for $130.
