Often seen working with The Swoosh (and its subsidiaries like Converse), A-COLD-WALL* is one of the leaders of experimental design in the fashion world and has translated this design ethos well with its past collaborations remixing iconic silhouettes like the AF1 and introducing us to new ones like the Converse Geo Forma. For their latest project, A-COLD-WALL* and Nike are bringing us a two-pack of Air Max Plus colorways that line up with the model's 25th Anniversary in 2023.
For the two colorways set to release, we have the “Black” rendition which comes in black, off noir, light iron ore, obsidian, cool grey, and iron grey, while the “Platinum Tint” iteration features platinum tint, light bone, black, stone, light orewood brown, and white shades. Both sneaker's keep things simple — especially for an ACW collab — as there aren't any massive changes that change the look of the sneaker. We do see, however, the usual mesh build replaced with a premium leather and cutouts that include squares and a Swoosh. Co-branded details land on the branding window atop the tongue, insole, and heel while ACW stands alone on the vamp and on the midsole. Rounding out the design is a tonal foam midsole with Tuned Air cushioning paired with a tonal outsole.
The A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Air Max Plus Pack is set to release September 21, 2023 through A-COLD-WALL*, Nike SNKRS, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
