adidas presents an Adimatic with a Halloween vibe for all you lucky trick-or-treaters for the second year straight. After successfully reviving the 90s skate classic in 2022, The Brand With The Three Stripes has released various GRs, themed pairs, and collaborations with atmos, Neighborhood, and Youth of Paris, amongst others, during this time. The adidas Adimatic continues to be a staple in the skate scene and streetwear.
The sole, the laces, the tongue, the stripes, and everything else are big and chunky on this silhouette, which became a cult classic among skaters, and original pairs are still highly sought-after. Unfortunately, OG pairs are often hunted down for nostalgia as the soles are known to suffer from every sneakerhead's worst nightmare, the dreaded crumble. After a decade-plus hiatus, the current generation is finding the sneakers as the previous ones did, seen worn down at skate parks and readily available. adidas unleashes its latest Adimatic alongside a Frankenstein-inspired Forum 84 for Spooky Season.
adidas has released numerous Halloween-inspired pairs in recent years. With the Adimatic, they hope it will be amongst the scariest pairs this year. The adidas Adimatic features a cushioned midsole that supports skating and everyday wear, ensuring style and functionality. adidas has successfully fused seasonal flair with the practicality expected from the Adimatic series. The Halloween-inspired Adimatic is a testament to adidas' ability to create footwear that resonates with skaters and sneaker enthusiasts alike, as seen with the first themed pair released in 2023.
With an upper consisting of multiple layers of suede and leather, the adidas Adimatic Halloween Grey is covered in hues of grey. Purple flashes appear for the detailing, including outlining the edges of the black leather Three Stripes on the sides and unique stitching on the heel. The jagged toe guard fits perfectly with this design, and the Trefoil branding on the tongue tag appears as if it's defaced, with neon green graffiti-esque embroidery overlapping. A cloud-white foam midsole is underfoot, finished with a translucent purple rubber outsole. Its combination of classic design elements and subtle holiday detailing allows the adidas Adimatic Halloween to stand out without being too loud.
The adidas Adimatic Halloween Grey will release in October 2024 through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $110. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for updates on the latest from adidas and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
