The adidas Adizero Adios 8 Is Lighter Than Ever

adidas has unveiled the Adizero Adios 8, the latest version of its high-performance racing sneaker. A stripped back upper featuring a new micro-fit pattern makes the Adios 8 the lightest model ever in the series. The men’s version weighs just 205 grams, while the women’s is even lighter at 185 grams.
Both the ENERGYTORSION ROD and LIGHTSTRIKE technologies see versions 2.0 as part of the Adizero Adios 8. A new third rod for ENERGYTORSION ROD 2.0 runs from the midfoot to forefoot for a "snappy toe-off." Meanwhile, all-new LIGHTSTRIKE 2.0 foam is used in the heel and midfoot area along with LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam at the forefoot.
In a bid for sustainability, at least 50 percent of the upper is made from recycled materials.
The adidas Adizero Adios 8 will release June 15 through the adidas, webstore, and physical locations. Available in both men’s and women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
