With the Berlin Marathon just around the corner, adidas is unveiling its latest range of runners, and the Adizero Aruku PR debuting in a Cloud White Pure Pure Ruby colorway is undoubtedly one of the show's stars. Elite performance running shoes are a product that adidas has always excelled in delivering. While many running shoes are game-changing and completely innovative when released, Father Time slows for nobody.
Technology is forever evolving, with brands constantly researching and developing the next product. The lifestyle division at The Brand With The Three Stripes includes many of these former greats. However, it is often overlooked and severely underrated with so much fierce competition in the market, most notably from brands such as New Balance, Salomon, and Asics. This ethos has changed drastically with the recent boom in popularity that adidas has experienced over the last two years, putting more and more of their models in the spotlight.
The recent resurgence of the SL72 has been a global success story for adidas, the epitome of a lifestyle runner. The announcement that Wales Bonner would be collaborating on the Adizero Adios Neftenga is another headline-grabbing release that ensures that adidas still has a seat at the table, no matter what decade it is. The latest signature shoe in the range has been unveiled, the Aruku. With it, a variation incorporating the inspiration behind the modern design, a pair of flat runners from the 2000s called Adizero PR.
Arriving in its signature tones of cloud white and pure ruby, this adidas Aruku PR consists of a one-piece woven mesh upper overlapped by a TPU skeletal-like support structure that offers breathability and flexibility. Along the medial is Three Stripes branding in core black, emphasizing them against the vibrant backdrop. Adizero branding appears on the heel and again on the tongue tag, with the EQT logo placed upon the rear heel. EVA cushioning is underfoot, sitting atop a solid black rubber sole.
The adidas Aruku PR Cloud White Pure Ruby will release overseas on September 30, 2024, through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. A stateside drop will follow in the coming weeks. Coming in men's sizing, retail is to be announced. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for updates on the latest from adidas and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
