While the most popular footwear is traditionally constructed of leather, suede, or some other material found in nature, the trends in 2022 have seen manufacturers pump out foam slides, clogs, or some other variation of a slip-on silhouette. This is in large part due to the advent of the Yeezy Foam RNNR and Salehe Bembury’s hit collaboration with Crocs on the Pollex Clog, though every brand now has its own iteration of a foam-based slip-on. Now after adidas has cut ties with Ye and Yeezy, Foam RNNR releases likely have been scrapped for the time being, so The Three Stripes is adding to its arsenal of foam-based clogs.
Unlike the controversial adiFOM Q, the latest adidas Clog has forgone any laces and is sticking to a more traditional shape that in some eyes may resemble the Yeezy Slide. Seen in three colorways so far, black, green, and cream, the model comes completely covered in a monochromatic tone while Three Stripe branding details stretch across from the sole to the forefoot on the lateral side. While we don’t know the exact foam used as of this writing, we do know that the perforations featured on the profile will help with breathability and comfort on the model. Underfoot, the one-piece foam features a traction pattern that should help with stability and grip on multiple surfaces.
The latest adidas Clog currently has no set release date, but expect to see the model and its three colorways seen so far launch near the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023. As of this writing, sizing and pricing info is TBA.
