Cream Shades Mixed With Purple Hits Don This adidas Crazy 1
PublishedBasketball silhouettes, unfortunately, haven’t been the strong suit for adidas for decades now as their rivals at Nike, Jordan Brand, and even Puma have made a huge splash in the marketplace in the last few years. Things looked promising with word that Jerry Lorenzo of Fear of God fame was set to help steer adidas Basketball, though now we know his focus is strictly on Fear of God Athletics. So for adidas, retro models in this market have been key with releases that originally belonged to the late-great Kobe Bryant making a return in recent years. Continuing the adidas Crazy 1 train, we’ve got first looks at an all-new “Off-White Purple Grey” rendition.
Keeping its Audi TT Roadster inspiration strong, the silhouette comes covered mainly in off-white creamy shades with accenting purple and grey hits seen throughout. Wrapping around the profile is a synthetic material that features debossed Three Stripes branding on the midfoot and is broken up by a black heel counter. On this darker portion sits a TPU window that reveals golden hits appearing like the tail light of a vehicle and also hosts more adidas branding just below. Moving back to the front of the sneaker the tongue comes in a split grey/purple combo and has a matching set of grey laces. Underfoot sits a creamy foam midsole paired with a grey rubber outsole.
The adidas Crazy 1 Off-White Purple Grey is set to release in 2023 through adidas and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
