The Brand With The Three Stripes is stepping up to provide some nostalgia with the re-release of the adidas Crazy 97 EQT “All Star” edition. Although this isn’t officially a signature Kobe Bryant adidas sneaker, this was the first pair he wore his rookie season. The silhouette features a soft leather upper dressed in silver with black and white accents on the midsole and Three Stripes branding. The inclusion of blue and orange pay homage to the colors of the 1997 NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland, fitting due to the fact the 2022 NBA All-Star Game will take place in the same city.
Now just because this is from 1997 doesn’t mean adidas skimped on comfortability. Utilizing the “Feet You Wear” design and adiPrene cushioning, the shoe was designed from the ground up to provide better stability and lessen shock on the wearer with its natural curves going from outsole to midsole. For a more modern usage of adiPrene, look no further than the adidas Yeezy 500.
The adidas Crazy 97 EQT All-Star 97 was originally set to release in February 2022. After a lengthy delay, they are now set to release overseas in Europe in July, with a wider, worldwide drop to follow. It will launch at adidas as well as select retailers in-store and online. They will be available in men’s sizing with a retail price set at $130. Keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App to stay up to date on this release as it gets closer.
