In the lead-up to the debut of James Harden’s eighth signature sneaker, adidas and The Beard previewed multiple colorways at the beginning of the year. One of these pairs was themed after his wine brand, J-Harden Wines, which was thought to be a player-exclusive colorway at the time. However, official images of the J-Harden Wines-themed colorway have emerged.
The color scheme for this Harden Vol. 8 is directly inspired by the bottle for the Jam Shed red wine bottle, which sees Harden’s hair, beard, and glasses covered in a South Beach-like purple, blue, and pink. Translating this to the sneaker, the large foam overlay on the midfoot and sole unit comes in a bright flamingo pink shade. Below this sits the black knit base, taking over the midfoot, tongue, and collar. More black shades are found on the leather toecap and the TPU heel counter. Inside, the insole features the logo of J-Harden Wines. Rounding out the design are hits of baby blue on the toe of the outsole, as well as a multi-color finish across the rest of the outsole.
The adidas Harden Vol. 8 J-Harden Wines will release in October 2024 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
