The adidas Harlem Returns After Nearly 40 Years
PublishedThe adidas Harlem is a retro silhouette shrouded in mystery that originally released in limited quantities back in the early 1980s. Since this small release, collectors and sneaker enthusiasts have been on the hunt for decades. Now, after a nearly 40-year hiatus, the iconicsneaker is set to return to the limelight, complete with its original colorway and upgraded features.
The Harlem “Cloud White Blue” retains its retro charm with contemporary details. It boasts a premium leather upper accented by nubuck overlays. The shoe incorporates shades of grey on the mudguard, while the rest of the upper is adorned in crisp white except for a blue heel tab. Three Stripes branding on the midfoot is rendered in varying hues of blue, further enhancing the colorway's character. The midsole and outsole utilize reworked tech from the adidas Centennial Low, closely mirroring the original Harlem’s sole unit's design.
To help launch the sneaker, SNS will release the adidas Harlem Cloud White Blue May 30. A wider release through adidas will take place June 6. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
