Retro skateboarding silhouettes have become some of the most sought-after designs in recent years, influencing fashion trends significantly. At the forefront of this revival is adidas, who successfully brought back the cult classic adidas Adimatic in 2022. Now, another '90s classic that garnered a dedicated following in Japan is set to come back: the adidas Lawsuit. This sneaker, originally known as the adidas Norton and sometimes stylized as adidas LWST, is gearing up for a 2024 release.
Last seen in 2013 via a collab with mita sneakers, the adidas Lawsuit is getting an exciting promotional push via Japanese retailer atmos. The release includes two neutral colorways, Tan and Black, appealing to those who prefer understated style. Additionally, adidas plans to introduce two more vibrant options, Green and Orange, at a later date, catering to the more adventurous sneaker enthusiasts. Alongside these pairs, there is also a Cordura-covered iteration in a Beef and Broccoli color scheme.
The design stays faithful to the original, with suede details elegantly adorning the mudguard, toe, eyestays, heel, tongue, and parts of the midfoot, offering a luxurious touch and durability. The sneaker's base is crafted from robust canvas material, forming the iconic Three Stripes on the midfoot. A striking feature is the added "X" stitching on the Three Stripes, providing a contrasting element that adds depth to the overall design. The sneaker is completed with a vulcanized rubber midsole and outsole, ensuring comfort and longevity.
The adidas Lawsuit will release in 2024 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. While the retail price is yet to be announced, the sneaker will be available in men’s sizing.
