Hype surrounding old school basketball shoes has officially reached an all-time high, and while adidas is already killing it with releases like the Forum 84 High "Off White" which we revealed earlier this season, the German sportswear giant has now set its sights on another retro silhouette with the adidas Rivalry Low 86 "Wild Brown." Originally introduced back in the '80s at the height of the b-ball boom, make sure you read on to find out everything that you need to know.
While most sneakers stick with one textile across the upper and call it a day, adidas has gone all-out for this release. Working on top of a chalk white suede base, this is overlaid by leather panels across the entire shoe for an extra premium look and feel. Mesh takes over the sockliner for added comfort, and of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning the wild brown corduroy accents that make a cameo across the Three Stripe branding and vamp. All of this then sits on top of a creamy rubber midsole which offers a tastefully vintage vibe, and the Rivalry Low 86 is finished off with Trefoils across the tongue tag and heel, finalizing the design.
Releasing sometime in 2023 in men's sizes, the adidas Rivalry Low 86 Wild Brown will be available at adidas and select retailers online and in-store with a retail price of $120.
