There is no end to the demand for the adidas Samba. The boom started almost two years ago, with social media trends influencing the rise at the end of 2022. Collaborations with partners like Kith and Clarks as part of the 8th Street Collection and numerous launches from Wales Bonner in 2023 saw the silhouette firmly in the spotlight. It was met by adoring consumers, who have been buying the model in numbers. Even the former UK Prime Minister trying to gain public support at election time by donning a pair didn't affect sales or opinions.
This sudden uptake in fortunes for the adidas Samba surprised many discerning sneakerheads, who for many years witnessed the classic model release year after year end up on sales racks. However, entering high fashion and style has been a seamless transition for the sneaker, created as an indoor soccer shoe. After a plethora of colorways and material mixes, the inline team at The Brand With The Three Stripes is still finding fresh ways to mix it up, and it has been noted over the last 18 months that the women's team at adidas in particular, has been designing some serious heat. The upcoming adidas Samba Lace shows they have no intention of slowing down anytime soon.
The adidas Samba Lace is adorned with white lace covering a grey leather underlay. Black leather hits are found via the Three Stripes branding on the sides as well as the back heel tab. A traditional nubuck T-toe is in place, with a frilled white ribbon outlining the white leather eyestay. Black floral lace jewels imprinted with Trefoil branding accessorize this pair, while a translucent grey-colored gum sole completes the look.
The adidas Samba OG Lace W will release in Holiday 2024 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women's sizing, retail is TBD. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for updates on the latest from adidas and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
